The HP latex 315 54" print and cut system maximises the performance of the HP Latex 315 by allowing it to print and cut at the same time when working in conjunction with a Summa Cut D Series system.

What are the performance advantages of Print and Cut? 

Unlike solvent printers which require time for the printed output to degas, latex prints emerge dry from the machine. This allows for immediate handling and therefore cutting can take place straight away. Productivity is 50% higher than comparable Solvent “All in One” print or cut systems.

Specification differances between the 115

The 315 printer is identical to it's stable mate the 115 in all aspects of performance and quality other than it has the more economical 775ml ink cartridges compared to the 400ml inks. The D Series cutter has the ability to cut on any size of media wheras the 115 is limited to standard sizes only. 

How does the system work?

Each print that requires cutting is tagged with a unique barcode. The print can then be introduced into the cutter and the cut job initiated from the cutters front panel without the need to interact with the RIP. The barcode is read and the correct cut contours are automatically fetched from the RIP and the cuts made.

Is HP's 315 latex print and cut system system reliable?

HP and Summa have put considerable effort into harmonising the system so that HP's 315 latex printer works seamlessly with  Summa’s D series cutter, so much so that you can print and cut in just 5 simple steps. 

Space needn’t be an issue

When the printer and cutter are placed back to back they have a remarkably small footprint. By comparison to a Roland all in one device which takes up 8.0m2, the HP Latex and Summa cutter’s footprint is 8.7m2 – just 0.7m2 more or equivalent to 3 waste paper baskets together. As the printer, RIP and cutter are all connected via your Local Area Network, the devices need not be in the same location, further adding to the systems flexibility.
